VAST…
XXXX
Easy to forget these looked very sad @ around 0.1p… 21st August 2019 low.
I see i was brave enough / foolish to top @ 0.15p in the June.
Sold 1/4 of those ( D ) 8th October for 0.36p they then blocked purchases on platform.
Must of gone higher for me to buy a few in ( Wi ) 18 October @ 0.48p
Another small tranche 28 October @ 0.31p
Allowed to buy on ( D ) last two days… I had sent e-mail Friday last… not sure if that remoded it .
Must be why I placed a GTC last buy deal to keep it on

VAST…
XXXX
Topped up today 22nd November 2019 …( T ) @ …0.35p
Getting back the same amount i sold on 8th Oct 2019 ( 0.36p )

And taking advantage of being allowed to on ( D )

I see Castaway last commented on lse on 4th Nov when share was on a low of 0.27p.
No comment since … on the 6th started to rise stopping on 12th @ 0.41p same day as ( D ) allowed dealing again .
So he does not appear to just post on the rise rise in this case.

He also posted he bought ALS on 4th Nov 2019.
Altus Strategies (LSE:ALS)… it was on a low of 3.75p … next day 4.75 !!! now on 22nd Nov 4.35p

Plenty of doom on LSE… when it moves it moves i could of got under 0.29p @ 9.15am.
Spread 3.5%
( Alerts not coming through L.L )
Been trying to buy more in ( T ) since last buy 12days back for 0.32p.
It did come near to target last week but only lifted today @ 8.19am set on phone early before heading off .
Better in hindsight if i had not set limit so early today as it dropped to 0.285p by 9.14am .
AMC … the other choice also lifted within 10 min ( 8.30am )…@ 1.97p … good job i switched that to ( D ) .
Castaway still bullish over weekend see below.
Note he bought GUN. !!!

Fantasy, you cannot run a mine without power or a way to remove waste to the tailings dam - these are now complete, they have been working on BP ever since the licence was granted, upgrading existing equipment etc. Whilst I doubt full production will be attained until later next year mining operations will commence around Xmas. Obviously we will not be getting the equipment from China this year but that will not stop commencement of mining - next year it will build and build and we will have a very profitable asset.

Picked this twitter response to it up from lse…

I wondered what i was thinking of when i topped up @ 0.482p on 18th Oct after slicing a larger number for 0.36p on the 8th October !!!
It had climbed to a 0.51p high on the 17th so i bought on pull back in ( Wi ) spare funds
available and swayed by fact ( D ) had blocked buyers ,…It continued to fall.
To early of course by 5th November it had fallen to where i topped today 0.28p

RE: Jumps30 Dec 2019 23:05
Well in 2 years much has changed - if you know your VAST history 2 years ago SSGI had a stranglehold on the company we had $4mil of debt and a BS showing $28 mil of historic debt - we had PP a gold mine that was producing revenues, that we would not benefit from for many years and we had a couple of mines in Rom. PP has been sold and we now have a way to mine BP and the funding to do it. We also have a JV for a diamond field at Marange which we have funding for when the ZimGov get round to signing the MOA.
VAST is in a far better position.
I am not saying the past 2 years could not have been handled better, but I do not know the whole situation (like most PI’s), but we are in a better situation overall and if we get production form BP and Marange next year we will do very well.
Basically we are in a totally different (and better) position.

BP - cold commissioned and running up to production early 2020

Funding in place for BP and diamonds when they are signed off

Diamonds due at any time

The potential revenues are off the scale for a small AIM company

I hope all VAST investors have a great Xmas and happy and profitable 2020.

The future is bright!

I love the posters who come on the BB have no “interest” in the share but tell all and sundry that the posters who are positive are trying to defraud others - Well in my case I think TLW is a good investment at these levels and as I stated last night the opinions on this BB have a minute effect on the s/p - II’s and the big boys rule this stock. All the doom mongers were on yesterday saying it would drop further but +14% is a positive step - more tomorrow IMO. £1-1.50 in the next 6 months is possible.

He might! - I agree though AP talks BS at times, but he also delivers and that is the contradiction and probably why the s/p is up and down all the time. The funding deal is not the greatest on AIM, yet we will probably get the diamonds. Swings and roundabouts.

Sarah IMO, BP will be a profitable mine if it is set up and run properly. Revenues will be decent, but we have had some serious dilution over the last few years and the effect of BP is less on the MC than it would have been in 2015. The diamonds are massive and will generate 100’s of $mil over the next few years if we get to mine them.
gkb - you think a placing is on the way? We have a funding deal in place, maybe you can give me your opinion as to why we need a placing?

No I give my opinion on a share, I have no more access to any member of the company than you, I go to meetings and ask questions - it’s not difficult just takes time and effort!.

I have held VAST shs since 2014 and made some money on the way (as have many).

Please refrain from condemning posters you really know nothing about and who happen to be generally positive - just my opinion of course!.

VAST will do very well going forward (if we mine Marange) and even the deramping morons know that!

Might of been wise to slice a couple of times if Nigel Somerville is anyone to go by .

Vast – Interims at 3pm on a Friday, no-one-is-watching o’clock? Uh-Oh……where’s the cash?
By Nigel Somerville, the Deputy Sheriff of AIM | Friday 17 January 2020

18
Shares

Disclosure: I have no positions in any stocks mentioned, and no plans to initiate any positions within the next 72 hours. I wrote this article myself, and it expresses my own opinions. I am not receiving compensation for it (other than from ShareProphets). I have no business relationship with any company whose stock is mentioned in this article.

AIM-listed Vast Resources (VAST), a company about which I have been a perennial bear and issued a sell call in the run-up to Christmas when the debt funding didn’t appear, has released interims to 31 October this afternoon. At 3pm on a Friday! What horrors do we find?

The blather at the beginning tells us that cash stood at $1.2 million and boasts of a conditional $15 million (net $13.5 million before expenses) bond facility. So all’s well?

Not so fast. The cash of $1.2 million is despite boatloads of confetti being issued during the period ($4.2 million worth, before costs) and net current assets were, er…… negative to the tune of $2.6 million. Right, so cash is…er…critical!

As for that bond, we learnt back on 18 December that the cash for the bond had not so far been forthcoming. In that announcement we were told that:

…. both parties working together with the intent to effect drawdown before 31 December 2019

But on 2 January we were told that the company had formally requested its first payment……and since then……nothing until now. It is now 17 January – and we are now told that:

The Company expects to receive funds shortly

Well, when is that….and would we believe the company anyway?

Given that we know that the company has raised just under $66,000 from share issues post-period (before expenses) I would suggest that the solvency of Vast has to be called into question here. Of course, it has that binding bond facility which apparently morphed into a binding conditional bond (which is therefore not binding at all, until the conditions are met) and despite all the song and dance since 1st October, when we were expecting sign-off later this week, then following Godot jibes from yours truly, laughable excuses on 24 October. And the cash – promised to arrive by the end of 2019 on 18 December, requested on 2 January 2020 still has not arrived.

Does anyone see a pattern here?

Quite why the shares are up 7% today is a mystery to me. As far as I can see there is no certainty of the cash arriving, the company is technically insolvent as things stand and if/when the funding does arrive it is a death spiral with bells on which will dilute shareholders to high heaven. And if it does not then the corporate undertaker is ready and waiting.

There seems to me to be no reason to read any further: this is a resounding sell/bargepole.

RE: Why are we waiting…25 Jan 2020 20:46
IMO now the drawdown is requested, the Atlas deal will have to be taken. So I cannot see a placing right now - VAST is always operating on fumes cash wise and has been all the time I have been invested (as do most non producing AIM miners). I have no worries we will get the Atlas cash fairly soon.

Understandably the time between drawdown RNS and now has concerns PI’s - the fact our venerable nomad seems to be happy is good enough for me, we know from previous deals Mr Cornish will issue an RNS if any delay was possible and IMO it would have happened by now if that were the case.

The first drawdown will take the longest as it involves paying Merc and SSCG and transfer of the mortgage for the Rom assets from Merc/SSGI to Atlas and the no doubt complex legal work for that is a bound to take time as it is across multiple jurisdictions and languages.

Funding will arrive next week sometime hopefully, I cannot see it going on that much longer.

RE: ignore the shorter paid deramper!!24 Jan 2020 19:28
This old chestnut of paid rampers comes up everytime the s/p drops and vice versa with derampers. People who are unhappy with their investment seem to need to blame anyone who happens to be positive about the company without taking responsibility for their decision to invest. These boards are discussion forums and only that - however IMO it is entirely wrong to accuse posters of being paid (unless you have proof ) and it is libellous - anonymity is no protection.
So please let’s discuss the company and not the posters.

Daz, I am no expert on geology - but we are employing the services of BOD and specifically James Campbell for a reason and it’s not to mine the alluvials (we have a highly qualified and experienced team for that already). JC is a hard rock diamond expert and that’s means kimberlites IMO.

We will have to wait and see Daz re. quality of stones - the old operations on Marange were largely corrupt, with the company’s undervaluing the diamonds, or just in effect smuggling them out - I think Mugabe said it was something like $15bn worth was lost (though this figure is disputed) - so the true value was probably never really established.
There is also a chance of a kimberlite pipe being found on the concession - the diamonds must have come from somewhere after all, but I suppose it will be potluck.

I agree with Sandy on the value - many of the rough stones in the past have been undervalued as they were not properly cleaned, XRT processed and sorted correctly. Many large stones were crushed as the equipment used was unsuitable. IMO if VAST get a field the yields will be far better than previously experienced and of course it will all be above board.

RE: Diamonds21 Jan 2020 17:44
Daz as far as I am aware, the diamonds at Marange are varying colours some brown, some uncoloured - the coloring as you said, is due to radiation millions of years ago. Around 20% are gem quality the rest are industrial. The brown/black stones are well valued in the market.
there has always been a desire to grow a local to Zim diamond processing industry as this is where most value is accreted and hence wealth to Zim - this will take time though, so initially presumably most stones VAST mines will be sold internationally.
