I’m a little surprised…that ‘One’ wasn’t for a Bad Hair Day!!..or his dog ate his draft card.

It just shows what a piece of ‘proverbial’ Trump was for attacking John McCain like he did…McCain really was a man of Courage.

Waste of money & a political stunt (IMO).

Those 50p Brexit ‘on 31st October’ coins will ‘presumably’ be worth a few Euros…a collectors item (if you can get hold of one before they are all melted) :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

#3363

I am not sure that Brock is a political stunt. If Brexit results in increased border checks then delays and disruption would result. Whatever, Brock itself is already causing disruption to the flow of traffic on the M20.

Cheers,

Frog

‘Presumably’ they will dismantle it tonight (after the EU gave us a Flextension today)…it might have given people a taste of ‘No’ deal if it was left in place a little longer (which would have been useful IMO). As a result it will just be another Tory waste of money…paid for by the magic Brexit money tree.

#3365

this one still looks right…

#3366

Oh what a wonderful bountiful Magic Brexit money tree…tis a wondrous thing to behold!!

#3367

How desperate are the remoaners now, putting forward amendments to have wannabe Greta’s vote :joy:
It’s all but over :jack_o_lantern:…Corbyn can’t save them now :joy:

oilovlam - good morning

Government £100m Brexit ad campaign
Remainer MPs forcing an extra 6 month EU payments - march to January (approximately £4.5 billion net).
No comparison really m8
JAR

#3369

£4.5 billion net…for 6 months membership of the EU and access to the Single Market, with access to EU databases and cooperation with EU agencies…a veritable bargain (IMO)!!

£100m spreading useless information e.g. go to a website that contains no worthwhile information…other than an incorrect assertion that we WILL be leaving the EU TODAY :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:…a stupid, pointless waste of money from a BoJo government that is all bluster and lies!

…and that £100m is just a fraction of the money wasted on preparing for ‘No’ deal btw…which all comes from the magic Brexit money tree (aka UK taxpayers).

#3370

Another Conservative finds they aren’t welcome in the right wing BoJo Brexit party…David Cameron must be a happy bunny…his book sales are going to be good this Xmas (tax deductible…of course…when routed through the Cayman islands)

Nice to see the most un-democratic party of them all gracefully accepting that they are not of any interest to the general public, Jo who? Story from BBC

The Lib Dems have made a formal complaint after ITV said its head-to-head election debate would only include Boris Johnson and Jeremy Corbyn.
Party president Sal Brinton said leader Jo Swinson should appear alongside the Tory prime minister and the Labour leader in the 19 November debate.
Baroness Brinton said Ms Swinson’s exclusion risks “misrepresenting the current political reality”.

#3375

yes they dont want to talk about Brexit.
it’s not a plus for Tories or Labour

New Bus going round saying
BREXIT COST £2000MILL A WEEK IS IT WORTH IT .

figure from Govs reports

#3376

Pete, are you sure about the numbers?..£2bn ‘a week’ is an awful lot of money. ‘Perhaps’ it is £200m per week!

“Brexit has already cost the UK economy almost £70bn – the equivalent of £440m a week or £840 for every household in the country each year – according to a new report from the Centre for European Reform released today.”

She would be better off explaining why she voted to triple tuition fees Peter and shaft the very people you think Brexit will effect the most :joy::joy::joy::joy:you appear to fully support the Cyril Smith party ? You have a very short memory, unlike the majority, Watch Piers Morgan destroy Jo swindlesome on YouTube…and you really better hope and wish she never makes the live debates :joy:

#3378

It all depends how you cost it. For example, the Brexit process has cost UK economy £600m a week in inward investment according to a Goldman Sachs report. But how much in investment put off by UK companies, internal investment? Also, what about actual definite costs of money spent on Brexit by the government and others preparing for No Deal etc.

Then opportunity costs which can only ever be estimated but must be very high. Companies not tendering for opportunities in the EU because they don’t know how they will stand after Brexit etc. That started not long after the vote. I know quite a few examples just from people I used to work with and am still in touch with so assume that multiplies out across many, many sectors.

Also the R&D money that the EU used to place in the Uk has ceased. That is over 0.5Bn a year according to Johnson government own figures. Many other smaller examples of cash no longer coming from EU I assume also.

It all adds up.

#3379

But does it add up to anywhere near £2,000 million per week? That would be over £300 billion for the cost of Brexit so far…that would have pushed us into a severe economic downturn. Don’t forget WE HAVEN’T EVEN LEFT YET!!!

“…Mr Thomson (Scottish Conservative and Unionist candidate for Aberdeen South), who was “drunk to the point where he was barely able to stand up”.
Mr Thomson then allegedly grabbed at Mr Sweeney through his clothes.”

Maybe that’s how men greet each other in Aberdeen…‘possibly’!! :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
