It looks like the LME might be turning. Live warrants down over 10,000 tonnes since the start of the week, cancelled warrants up by over 24,000 tonnes. It’s the cancelled warrants figure that matters.

Looks like Andy Home is on the money. In just over a week live warrants have gone down by close to 20,000 tonnes while canceled warrants, over the same period, have doubled (up by over 30,000 tonnes). The total amount of nickel in the LME dropped yesterday for the first time in several weeks. The fall may have been modest, only 78 tonnes, but its still a fall. A harbringer of bigger things to come perhaps?
