The Merian Global Investors fund manager talks to ii's head of markets Richard Hunter about a recent article in which he argued in favour of a more equitable balance between debt and equity. He also explains how lower dividend payments could yield a more stable system over time.
As well as suggesting that coronavirus offers the UK a chance to develop a more benign form of capitalism, Buxton gives his view on UK banks' Q1 results and that economic barometer, Lloyds (LSE:LLOY).
