Julian Hofmann is a freelance investment writer who came up via local journalism and gained his first experience of business journalism as a German-speaking reporter for the pharmaceutical industry press. He later joined the FT group after a spell in newswires and was a specialist investment writer for the Investors Chronicle for several years. He specialises in investment strategies, fixed income, SIPP management and company research and writes due diligence reports for private investors.
