Coinbase and Circle Internet shed around 10% each on Tuesday after a Senate vote on the Clarity Act failed by 10 votes to secure the 60 supporters needed to advance this proposed crypto legislation. Backed by President Trump, the new law was aiming to build clear regulation and a legal framework for the crypto and digital assets industry. Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong described the development as a ‘disappointment’. Bitcoin suffered a 4% slide on the day, dragging Iren, Bitmine and Strategy into the red.
SK Hynix
SK hynix Inc ADR (NASDAQ:SKHY) has been another popular tech stock so far this week on the ii platform, jumping two places from last week to ninth spot.
Shares in the US listed semiconductor company initially jumped on Wednesday following a Reuters report that it is in talks with Intel to manufacture memory chips in the United States for the first time. The report suggested that SK Hynix could lease part of Intel’s chipmaking facility in Ohia or form a venture with Intel alongside major cloud firms.

AI leaders
AI related names like NVIDIA Corp (NASDAQ:NVDA), Advanced Micro Devices Inc (NASDAQ:AMD) and Micron Technology Inc (NASDAQ:MU)fell sharply on Monday.
Over the weekend, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei said AI development should be deliberately slowed so that safety measures can catch up with rapidly advancing capabilities of AI models. Elon Musk and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman agreed with Amodei.
In a growing divide between top tech voices, Meta Platforms Inc Class A (NASDAQ:META) CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang have taken a different stance to Amodei, rejecting the suggestion that safe AI requires a coordinated slowdown. Zuckerberg argues that companies are motivated to advance models safely to avoid the risk of a ‘significant liability if their models cause harm’. Similarly, Huang also believes there is a ‘false choice’ between speed and safety. Speaking at Dreamforce 2026 he said, "We don't need any new laws. We don't need new regulations.”

This debate comes in response to concerns about the AI rollout initially sparked by former Anthropic researcher Jacob Coxon who resigned and said the AI giants are ‘gambling with our lives’.
Nvidia, AMD and Micron are among the most bought tech stocks on the ii platform so far this week.
