Governments worldwide are investing billions of dollars into green initiatives, especially in Europe and the US. One of the key beneficiaries of this drive toward environmentally friendly societies is the electric vehicle industry. We’ve already seen the rise and rise of Tesla, which has made fortunes for shareholders and disciples of founder and CEO Elon Musk. But as with any evolving industry, rival technologies emerge and render others obsolete.
We’re currently seeing such rapid development in both vehicle design, infrastructure and battery type, size and life, that it is very clear the marketplace for green transport will continue to change quickly. There will inevitably be winners and losers, and it is our job is to keep investors up to speed with events as the race to dominate, or at least grab a share of this massive market evolves.

It also makes solar roofs and plans to enter the HVAC market.
NIO Inc

NIO Inc operates in China's premium electric vehicle market. The company designs and jointly manufactures, and sells smart and connected premium electric vehicles, driving innovations in next-generation technologies in connectivity, autonomous driving, and artificial intelligence. The company sells vehicles through its own sales network, including NIO Houses, NIO Spaces, and their mobile application. The majority of the revenue is earned from selling vehicles.

XPeng Inc is a Smart Electric Vehicle company designing, developing, manufacturing and marketing smart electric vehicles in China. The company manufactures environmentally friendly vehicles, namely an SUV (the G3) and a four-door sports sedan (the P7). It targets the mid- to high-end segment in China's passenger vehicle market.

Livent is a pure-play lithium producer formed when FMC spun off its lithium business in October 2018. The company's low-cost lithium carbonate production comes from brine resources in Argentina. Livent also operates downstream lithium hydroxide conversion plants in the United States and China and has a 25% stake in a fully integrated Canadian lithium project.
