Crest Personal Membership (CPM) Service
We've decided to withdraw our sponsorship of CPM accounts and the service will close. Below you'll find answers to some frequently asked questions about what this means for you.
Why is the CPM service closing?
As part of a strategic review of our services, we have decided to withdraw our sponsorship of CPM accounts. Instead we'll focus our efforts on our core Self-Invested Personal Pension (SIPP), ISA and Trading accounts.
FAQs
If you have a query about your account, or you wish to place a trade to sell one of your holdings, you can still log in to your account online to do this.
As part of our service, we will facilitate any combination of the options shown below.
Your options will need to be carefully considered and will depend upon your individual circumstances.
- Transfer your assets to another trading account at ii.
You can request a transfer online to one of your existing ii accounts. You can also open a new trading account with us and request a transfer to this account online. - Withdraw your assets by accessing your account and instructing a withdrawal.
- Sell your assets.
Log in to your account to sell any assets or foreign currencies (FX). - Use our Sharegift program to gift your assets to charity.
You can donate your assets or cash to our designated charity account by sending a secure message online. - Transfer your assets to another sponsor.
Details of transferring to another sponsor can be found at www.euroclear.com. Once a new sponsor has been set up, you can contact us to transfer your assets.Â
Yes, you can keep your assets on the ii platform by opening up a trading account. You can then follow the transfer steps within your account online.
Some assets may not be able to be sold or transferred. In that case, those assets will need to remain in the account until they are resolved or delisted.
Important: Crest Sponsored Member accounts which have no cash and only assets that cannot be valued are not charged any monthly fees. Please bear in mind that if any assets return to value, fees may resume in line with the terms of the account.
Cash can only be withdrawn from the Crest Sponsored Member account in GBP. Any foreign currency balances must be converted back to GBP before they can be withdrawn.
There are no ii charges for transferring to another provider, or for cash being withdrawn back to your bank account.
However, if assets need to be sold, re-materialised into a certificate or any foreign currency needs converting before transferring or withdrawing, these operations are subject to our standard charges.
We will withdraw those funds into your nominated bank account.
If you don't have a nominated bank account, we will try to send you a cheque.Â
* Please make sure you have a nominated bank account on file, and that your address is up to date.

Any assets (cash or transferable stock) which remains on the account, by the deadline clo-sure date, will be transferred to an existing ii account.Â
If you do not have an existing ii trading account, we will open a ii trading account in your name and transfer assets into it.Â
The CPM account will be closed after 7th July.Â
Any assets remaining on the account will be transferred to an existing ii trading account in your name. If you do not have an existing ii trading account, we will open a new account in your name. Assets which may not be able to be transferred will remain in the account until they are resolved or delisted.
All interest due for the period 25th June to 24th July will be paid on or around 25th July.
These funds will be transferred to your existing ii trading account or a new ii trading account opened in your name.
