Can Diversified Energy shares hit this target?

Still trading at levels well below its 2022 peak, this share has caught the eye of independent analyst Alistair Strang. Here's what he thinks of the stock's potential.

Oil pumps 600

One of our guilty pleasures is watching a telly program called Landman, a well produced drama about oil extraction in the USA and starring Billy Bob Thornton and now, Demi Moore.

Anyway, Landman touches on current methods to maximise oil wells which have declined in production, a scenario which is close to the practices of Diversified Energy Co (NYSE:DEC).

Currently, we would suggest paying close attention if Diversified share price exceeds 1,200p as movement to an initial 1,259p looks extremely probable with our longer-term secondary, if exceeded, coming along at 1,420p and almost certain hesitation. While we often say a share is worth watching, this one is definitely in such a category.

Our converse scenario, should things decide to go wrong, allows for weakness below 1,044p to point at an initial 919p with our secondary, if broken, down at 814p and a very possible rebound.

This one, we suspect shall really prove worth watching, similar to Landman…
