Asset Group Asset Sub-Group Investment Category
Fixed Income Global bonds Low cost

Selection rationale:
This fund invests in an optimised sample of the thousands of investment grade bonds that are included in the Bloomberg Barclays Global Aggregate Float Adjusted Index. Most of the holdings within the fund are government bonds.

The fund is hedged back to sterling, which means that non-sterling currency risk is removed from the fund. This makes it suitable for UK investors seeking exposure to core global bond markets without taking on currency exposure. On the flip side, investors must recognize that yields achieved may be lower than those of the underlying bonds due to the costs of currency hedging.

The income share class pays a quarterly dividend. Ongoing charges are 0.15%.

This fund may appeal to investors who are looking to invest in global bonds in a cost-effective way, without the currency risk.
