Your charges
With interactive investor’s UK service, you have a choice of three service plans to suit your investment style: Investor, Funds Fan and Super Investor.
You will start on Investor plan
When your account switches, you will start on the Investor plan, our most popular plan. While the monthly service plan charge is new, it does include one free trade each month as a trading credit, and you will pay lower commission than the current Irish service. Your foreign exchange costs remain the same as they are today, and you can maintain balances in up to nine different currencies. Please note that there is an overseas resident charge in addition to the monthly fee, which we charge to cover the additional costs in providing non-UK resident services.

You receive a trading credit of £7.99 each month. This is valid for 90 days and it can be used against any online trades. Available credits are applied automatically whenever you trade. You will pay an extra charge for trades worth £100,000 or more. |
Questions and answers
Is the Investor plan for me?
If you invest often, there is a good chance you will pay less in charges with the interactive investor UK service. As a rough guide, if you are an active and frequent trader in either funds or securities making four or more trades in an average month, you may prefer the Funds Fan or Super Investor plan.
With each of these service plans you also receive a trading credit of £7.99 a month and would still have to pay an extra charge for trades worth £100,000 or more.

What about exit charges?
At interactive investor, you will not be asked to pay exit fees. That means you have nothing to lose by giving your new service a try and finding out for yourself how you can benefit from better value, better choice, better intelligence and better online services.
If you decide to leave interactive investor and this involves selling investments, you will have to pay trading charges/commission as usual.
How do I pay my monthly service plan?
The monthly fee is taken in sterling from any available cash in your account. This happens on or around the 10th of each month.
If you have a UK bank account, you can set up a monthly direct debit to cover this charge.
Paying your monthly service plan by direct debit or debit card means you do not have to remember to keep your interactive investor account topped up with sterling.
Otherwise, if ever there is not enough cash in your interactive investor account to pay your charges, we may sell some of your investments to cover them.
